In 1973 graduated from the Philosophy Department, Leningrad State University (present name: St. Petersburg State University). In 1985 defended a candidate’s thesis “Socialization of young people in the modern city conditions”, in 2005 — a doctor’s thesis “Social policy: interaction of the state, society and man”. Has an extensive experience in teaching social workers and administrators of social services of various levels.
Headed or participated in implementation of a number of research and education projects devoted to problems of the elderly, persons with no fixed abode, troubled families, activating / inclusive social work, etc. together with the Social protection committees of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region.
Studied social work practice and passed training in various countries of the world.
Has more than 100 scientific publications, holds the title of a merited higher education worker.
