Eurofound is an Agency of the European Union, aiming to contribute to the planning and design of better living and working conditions in Europe. Its Governing Board is composed of employer organisations, trade unions and governments of each of the 28 EU Member States, as well as the European Commission.
Hans Dubois’ research areas include ‘active ageing’, with a recent report on ‘Income from work after retirement in the EU’. Other areas are ‘access to healthcare services’ and the European Quality of Life Survey. Before, Hans was Assistant Professor at Kozminski University (Warsaw) teaching quantitative methods. During his Doctoral studies at Bocconi University (Milan), he spent some months at the International Centre for Policy Studies (Kiev). Previously, he worked at the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (Madrid), investigating social health insurance systems, and conducted a World Bank study on the impact of ageing on long-term care. Hans studied at the University of Amsterdam, with periods at Harvard University and Universidad de Salamanca.
